Health check-up at HKU-Shenzhen Hospital

Shenzhen, Futian · Public hospital run with the University of Hong Kong

A health check-up of about three hours, close to the Hong Kong border, with published package prices. One of Guangdong's first pilot hospitals for international medical services (July 2026).

Check your visa first. Visa-free entry is for business, tourism, family, friends, exchanges and transit; treatment isn't on that list. Agency guides describe a private-affairs (S2) visa with a letter from the hospital. Confirm with the Chinese embassy where you live before you book. Read the visa guide.
What you get

Screening packages by age and sex, each with either a chest X-ray or a low-dose lung CT. Bowtie lists the contents of each package.

Insurance

Most patients pay themselves, because most health policies exclude planned treatment abroad. This hospital settles bills directly with more than 30 insurers, so ask yours whether it is one of them.

Booking

Booking is through the hospital's WeChat account, by phone (0755-8691 3333, daily 8am to 6pm) or in person. Our source does not say whether English is available.

Who already goes

Hong Kong residents made more than 40,000 outpatient visits here in the first quarter of 2024.
